What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Dryject FDD excerpts, there is no specific mention of payroll procedures. However, the FDD does mention the Operations Manual, which franchisees are required to use. The Operations Manual contains mandatory and suggested specifications, policies, methods, standards, operating procedures, requirements, and information relative to other obligations of a franchisee, and to the operation of a Franchised Business. The Operations Manual may take the form of one or more of the following: one or more loose-leaf or bound volumes; bulletins; notices; letters, videos; CD's; DVD's and/or other electronic media; online postings; e-mail and/or electronic communications; or any other medium capable of conveying the Operation Manual's contents. If a franchisee requires a replacement copy of the Operations Manual, Dryject will charge a Replacement Manual Fee of $200.00. The Replacement Manual Fee will be due upon request. It is possible that payroll procedures are included in the Operations Manual.
Since the FDD excerpts do not explicitly detail payroll procedures, it is important for potential franchisees to ask Dryject about this during their due diligence. Specifically, they should inquire whether the Operations Manual covers payroll and what specific guidelines or requirements Dryject has for payroll management. Understanding these procedures is crucial for managing employee compensation and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
Prospective franchisees should also ask about any approved or preferred payroll service providers that Dryject recommends or requires franchisees to use. This can help streamline the payroll process and ensure consistency across the franchise system. Additionally, franchisees should clarify whether Dryject provides any training or support related to payroll management.
