What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Dryject Franchise Disclosure Document, Dryject franchisees must maintain an umbrella policy as extended coverage for commercial general liability, auto liability, and employer's liability insurance. The minimum amount for this umbrella policy is set forth in the Operations Manual, and is currently not less than $1,000,000.00.
This requirement means that a Dryject franchisee needs to secure an umbrella insurance policy that provides an additional layer of protection beyond the limits of their general commercial liability, auto liability, and employer's liability insurance. This coverage is designed to protect the franchisee from significant financial losses in the event of a major claim or lawsuit that exceeds the limits of their primary insurance policies.
The franchisor, Dryject, also reserves the right to increase the minimum limits of the required insurance coverage or to add new types of required coverage, as detailed in the Operations Manual. Furthermore, Dryject is to be named as an additional insured/loss payee on all liability insurance policies, protecting them against any liability arising from the franchisee's operation of the Dryject business. The franchisee must provide certificates of insurance to Dryject at least ten days before opening their franchised business, demonstrating compliance with these insurance requirements.
