What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Dryject Franchise Disclosure Document, Dryject reserves the right to determine if a franchisee is meeting the required System Standards. This also includes determining whether any alternative methods are suitable for meeting recommendations or guidelines. System Standards are in place to protect Dryject's interests in its system and marks, not to control matters reserved for the franchisee.
This means that Dryject has the authority to assess whether a franchisee's operations align with the standards outlined in the Operations Manual and franchise agreement. These standards cover various aspects of the business, ensuring quality and uniformity across all Dryject franchises. The Operations Manual contains mandatory and suggested specifications, policies, methods, standards, operating procedures and requirements prescribed from time to time by Dryject and information relative to other obligations of a franchisee, and to the operation of a Franchised Business.
For a prospective franchisee, this implies that compliance with Dryject's System Standards is not optional but a requirement for maintaining the franchise agreement. Dryject's ability to assess compliance and approve alternatives gives them significant oversight over the franchisee's business practices. Franchisees should, therefore, carefully review the Operations Manual and seek clarification on any unclear standards before signing the franchise agreement.
It is also important to note that Dryject can modify the Operations Manual and System Standards, requiring franchisees to adapt to these changes. While these changes should not alter the franchisee's fundamental rights and obligations, staying informed and compliant with the evolving standards is crucial for a Dryject franchisee's success.
