What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dryject's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Dryject franchisees are required to maintain an umbrella policy that extends coverage to commercial general liability, auto liability, and employer's liability insurance. The minimum amount for the umbrella policy is set forth in the Operations Manual, and is currently not less than $1,000,000.00.
This means that Dryject franchisees must secure an umbrella insurance policy that provides additional liability coverage beyond their general commercial, auto, and employer's liability policies. This umbrella policy serves as an extra layer of protection in case claims exceed the limits of the primary insurance policies. The specific amount of coverage required is detailed in the Dryject Operations Manual, but the FDD states it must currently be at least $1,000,000.00.
It is important for prospective Dryject franchisees to understand that Dryject reserves the right to increase the minimum coverage limits or change the types of required coverage as detailed in the Operations Manual. Franchisees must also provide certificates of insurance to Dryject at least ten days before opening their franchise to prove compliance with these insurance requirements. Furthermore, the franchisee's insurance obligations are not limited by any insurance Dryject may maintain, and the franchisee remains liable under the indemnity provisions of the agreement.
