THE FRANCHISE RELATIONSHIP

| corporate and individual capacities, including claims arising under the | ||
| Franchise Agreement or under federal, state or local laws, rules, | ||
| regulations or orders; |

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dollar Rent A Car's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may have the option to renew their franchise agreement for the number of successive renewal periods outlined in Attachment A of their Franchise Agreement. To renew, a franchisee must execute a new franchise agreement and pay a renewal fee, the amount of which is detailed in Attachment A of the Franchise Agreement.
In addition to paying a renewal fee and executing a new agreement, Dollar Rent A Car requires that the franchisee not be in default of any provision of their existing Franchise Agreement or any other agreement with Dollar Rent A Car or its affiliates. The franchisee must also have consistently made timely payments and have been in compliance with all terms and conditions of the Franchise Agreement throughout its term.
Furthermore, to qualify for renewal, Dollar Rent A Car franchisees must provide written notice of their intent to renew within a specific timeframe, pay all outstanding amounts owed to Dollar Rent A Car, meet the then-current qualification and training requirements, and cover Dollar Rent A Car's out-of-pocket costs related to the renewal application. Franchisees and their owners must also execute a general release of claims against Dollar Rent A Car and its affiliates. Finally, franchisees are responsible for refurbishing, repairing, or replacing equipment, computer systems, signs, and other items to meet Dollar Rent A Car's current standards.
