If approved by us, you will have the right to sign a Franchise Agreement for the establishment and operation of a Franchised Business within the franchised territory designated in the Franchise Agreement (the "Territory"). Your Franchised Business will be located at a site, which may be at an airport or in a location near hotels, offices and highways, at a specified address (the "Location") within your Territory. The Franchise Agreement may also include a schedule describing additional Franchised Business locations that must be opened and in operation by specified dates. We also reserve the right to require you (by written notice) to open additional Franchised Businesses within your Territory to serve customer or market demand. If you are a corporation, limited liability company or partnership, certain provisions of the Franchise Agreement will also apply to your owners. These will be addressed in this Disclosure Document where appropriate.
After the acquisition of DTG by Hertz Holdings, we began to consider a variety of System modifications that may result in the combination of certain aspects of the Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty systems, while keeping separate other aspects of these systems. This process is continuing and ongoing. It may result in the combination of certain departments or of the services provided by those departments. It may also result in the sharing of the resources and in the combination of the responsibilities of certain personnel.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Dollar Rent A Car Franchise Disclosure Document, if Dollar Rent A Car approves your application, you will have the right to sign a Franchise Agreement to establish and operate a franchised business within a designated territory. This territory will be specified in the Franchise Agreement. Your Dollar Rent A Car business will be situated at a location, which could be at an airport or near hotels, offices, and highways, with a specific address within your territory.
The Franchise Agreement may include a schedule outlining additional Dollar Rent A Car locations that you must open and have operational by certain dates. Dollar Rent A Car also retains the right to require you, through written notice, to open additional franchised businesses within your territory to meet customer or market demand. If your business is a corporation, limited liability company, or partnership, certain provisions of the Franchise Agreement will apply to your owners as well.
However, Dollar Rent A Car franchisees do not receive an exclusive territory. Dollar Rent A Car retains the right to use, or license others to use, their system and marks both within and outside your territory. This usage can be connected to the sale, rental, lease, or other use of similar or different products and services. If your Dollar Rent A Car business is located at an airport or another major transportation facility, you will be competing with other businesses, including affiliate-branded businesses, that offer the same or similar services.
