THE FRANCHISE RELATIONSHIP

| Franchise Agreement or under federal, state or local laws, rules, | ||
| regulations or orders; |

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Dollar Rent A Car's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may renew their franchise agreement for the number of successive renewal periods outlined in Attachment A of the Franchise Agreement. To do so, the franchisee must not be in default of any provision of the Franchise Agreement, any amendments, or any other agreement with Dollar Rent A Car or its affiliates. They also must not have failed to make timely payments and must have been in compliance with all terms and conditions of the Franchise Agreement and other related agreements during the term.
In addition to the above conditions, the Dollar Rent A Car franchisee must provide written notice of their election to renew between 9 and 12 months prior to the end of the current term. All amounts owed to Dollar Rent A Car must be paid by their due dates. The franchisee must also meet the then-current qualification and training requirements set by Dollar Rent A Car.
Furthermore, the franchisee is responsible for paying Dollar Rent A Car's out-of-pocket costs related to the renewal application. Both the franchisee and their owners must execute a general release of all claims against Dollar Rent A Car, its parent company, affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, members, shareholders, and employees. The franchisee must also refurbish, repair, or replace equipment, computer systems, signs, decor, fixtures, furnishings, supplies, and other materials to meet Dollar Rent A Car's current standards and modernize the business accordingly. Finally, the franchisee must execute a new franchise agreement and pay a renewal fee, as specified in Attachment A of the Franchise Agreement.
