What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Dollar Rent A Car's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to implement a training program for all employees. This program must ensure that employees operate the franchised business in compliance with Dollar Rent A Car's current standards and procedures.

Prior to opening, the franchisee, their manager, and key employees must attend and complete Dollar Rent A Car's required initial training programs and courses. These attendees are solely responsible for all expenses, including travel and living costs. Dollar Rent A Car may also require the franchisee to attend remedial training programs to improve business operations, again at the franchisee's expense. Optional additional training programs are available at the franchisee's discretion and expense, including associated training fees if applicable.

Dollar Rent A Car does not maintain a formal training staff. Onsite training assistance is provided by employees of Dollar Rent A Car or its Parent, including Franchise Operations and other personnel with at least three years of experience in field location management techniques, revenue management, and selling at the rental counter. Training classes are held at the home office, zone training facility, franchisor-owned store, and online. Instructional materials include printed materials, PowerPoint presentations, and videos.
