"Introduction to the brand" and "Marketing Sales" and "Revenue Management" and "Customer Service/Sales Training" and "Back Office" also take place at the Franchisor’s Headquarters or at your designated location. "Daily Operating Procedures", "Counter Policies and Procedures", "Brand Service and Programs" and "Fleet Operations" take place at your designated location. "Pre-Opening Procedures", "Fleet Programs", "Privacy Policy", "Facility Guidelines", "Supplies, Required/Forms/Rental Agreements", "Privacy Training", "Facility Requirements, Fixtures, Signage Requirements", "Employee Appearance Uniform Standards" and "Accident Reporting" take place online.

Prior to opening a Dollar Rent A Car franchise, the franchisee, their manager, and key employees must attend and complete all required initial training programs and courses to the satisfaction of Dollar Rent A Car. The franchisee is responsible for all travel and living expenses associated with the training. Dollar Rent A Car may also require the franchisee to attend remedial training programs and courses to improve the operation of the franchise, also at the franchisee's expense. The franchisee must also implement a training program for all employees of the franchise to ensure compliance with Dollar Rent A Car's standards and procedures.
