What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Dollar Rent A Car's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must provide access to their computer systems for electronic data retrieval on a continuous basis. Specifically, Dollar Rent A Car or its affiliates require access 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

This access includes a broad range of data, not limited to rental transactions, vehicle information, reservations, customer profiles, and general ledger data. This constant access allows Dollar Rent A Car to monitor the franchisee's operations closely and ensure compliance with their standards.

For a prospective Dollar Rent A Car franchisee, this means implementing and maintaining a computer system capable of providing uninterrupted data access. It also implies a need for robust data security measures to protect sensitive information while allowing the franchisor access. The franchisee should clarify with Dollar Rent A Car the specific technical requirements for data access and security protocols to ensure compliance and data protection.
