Where will my Dollar Rent A Car Franchised Business be located?

If approved by us, you will have the right to sign a Franchise Agreement for the establishment and operation of a Franchised Business within the franchised territory designated in the Franchise Agreement (the "Territory"). Your Franchised Business will be located at a site, which may be at an airport or in a location near hotels, offices and highways, at a specified address (the "Location") within your Territory. The Franchise Agreement may also include a schedule describing additional Franchised Business locations that must be opened and in operation by specified dates. We also reserve the right to require you (by written notice) to open additional Franchised Businesses within your Territory to serve customer or market demand. If you are a corporation, limited liability company or partnership, certain provisions of the Franchise Agreement will also apply to your owners. These will be addressed in this Disclosure Document where appropriate.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Dollar Rent A Car Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchised business will be situated at a specific address (the "Location") within a designated franchised territory (the "Territory"). This location may be at an airport or in an area near hotels, offices, and highways. The Franchise Agreement you sign with Dollar Rent A Car will specify this territory.
Dollar Rent A Car may also include a schedule in the Franchise Agreement that outlines additional franchised business locations that you must open and have in operation by certain dates. Furthermore, Dollar Rent A Car retains the right to require you, through written notice, to open additional franchised businesses within your Territory to meet customer or market demand.
In essence, while the initial location is agreed upon and specified in the Franchise Agreement, Dollar Rent A Car maintains some control over future expansion within your territory based on market needs. This means that as a franchisee, you need to be prepared for potential additional investments and operational responsibilities if Dollar Rent A Car determines there is a demand for more locations in your area.
