What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Dickeys Barbecue Pit's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must obtain and deliver executed confidentiality agreements to Dickey's Barbecue Pit from individuals with direct or indirect ownership interest who have access to confidential information. These agreements ensure that these individuals maintain the confidentiality of the information they receive through their relationship with Dickeys Barbecue Pit.
This requirement extends beyond just the franchisee themselves, encompassing investors or anyone with an ownership stake who gains access to Dickeys Barbecue Pit's confidential data. This is a protective measure by Dickeys Barbecue Pit to safeguard its proprietary information and maintain a competitive edge.
For a prospective Dickeys Barbecue Pit franchisee, this means they will need to ensure that all relevant parties with access to confidential information, such as investors or partners, are willing to sign and adhere to the confidentiality agreement. Failure to comply with this requirement could potentially lead to a breach of the franchise agreement.
