What This Means (2024 FDD)
Based on the 2024 Deka Lash Franchise Disclosure Document, it is not explicitly stated whether Deka Lash requires franchisees to provide automated electronic access to their accounting data. However, the FDD does state that Deka Lash may require franchisees to use specific telephone and internet equipment and services. Additionally, franchisees must use marketing techniques and operating procedures as specified by Deka Lash. These stipulations suggest that Deka Lash has the ability to implement systems that could include access to franchisee data.
While the FDD does not directly address electronic access to accounting data, it does emphasize the franchisee's responsibility to adhere to the standards, systems, and specifications outlined in the Operations Manual. The Operations Manual may contain requirements related to financial reporting and data access.
A prospective Deka Lash franchisee should clarify with the franchisor whether they are required to provide automated electronic access to their accounting data. It would also be prudent to inquire about the specific systems and software that franchisees must use, as well as the data security and privacy measures in place to protect financial information.
