Assistance to obtain equipment, signs, fixtures, opening inventory, and supplies. We provide guidance to obtain equipment, signs, fixtures, and supplies. (Franchise Agreement, Section 5.3).
Operations Manual. We provide to you access to our Operations Manual ("Manual") to offer guidance in the operation of your Franchised Business. (Franchise Agreement, Section 5.4). Exhibit J contains the Table of Contents to the Operations Manual, which presently contains 198 pages.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Deka Lash's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Deka Lash provides guidance to franchisees to obtain equipment, signs, fixtures, and supplies. Deka Lash also provides a sample site layout plan and requires franchisees to have the site laid out by their approved furniture supplier. The franchisee must submit the layout to Deka Lash for approval.
Additionally, Deka Lash may specify software, subscriptions, licenses, tablets, computer systems, and equipment to assist in the operation of the franchised business. Deka Lash may update, modify, or otherwise make changes to their software, subscriptions, licenses, tablets, computer systems, and equipment specifications. In the event of any updates, modification or other changes in or additions to their specifications, the franchisee will promptly modify, replace or add to their existing software, subscriptions, licenses, tablets, computer systems and equipment at their sole expense.
For computer systems, Deka Lash requires franchisees to have an internet connection, email, and a laptop or desktop computer. Deka Lash recommends an Apple iMac or MacBook. They require a minimum of two iPads or other tablets as specified by them at each studio. Franchisees must use the studio software Deka Lash specifies, which may include customer scheduling, online booking, reporting, and a Point of Sale/Credit Card application. These items can be purchased for approximately $2,000- $5,000. The estimated annual cost of optional or required maintenance, updating, upgrading, or support contracts to your computer systems is approximately $1,000.
