What This Means (2024 FDD)

Based on the 2024 Deka Lash Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor emphasizes the franchisee's responsibility in managing their business and client interactions. Deka Lash mandates that franchisees interact with clients professionally, fulfill their obligations diligently, and train employees to deliver excellent customer service. Franchisees are also responsible for ensuring their employees have the necessary training, licenses, and certifications required by law.

The FDD states that franchisees are responsible for hiring, firing, compensating, and supervising their employees. Additionally, franchisees must maintain insurance coverage as required by state laws and as specified in the Deka Lash Operations Manual, including naming DL Franchising, LLC as an additional insured on their policies. If a franchisee experiences a loss, such as fire or theft, they are required to use insurance proceeds to repair or replace the damaged property.

While the FDD outlines the franchisee's duties in managing day-to-day operations and ensuring quality service, it does not explicitly detail specific operational support mechanisms Deka Lash provides to franchisees facing problems. A prospective franchisee should inquire with the franchisor about the specific types of operational support offered when franchisees encounter challenges, such as access to expert advice, troubleshooting assistance, or on-site support.
