What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Deka Lash's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are restricted in how they handle the brand's Confidential Information. Franchisees may use Deka Lash's Confidential Information to fulfill their obligations under the Franchise Agreement. However, they can only disseminate this information on a need-to-know basis.

Furthermore, franchisees must ensure that individuals receiving the Confidential Information are aware of its proprietary and confidential nature. This means a Deka Lash franchisee must inform their employees or any other individuals who need access to the information about its sensitivity and the need to protect it.

This requirement ensures that Deka Lash's trade secrets and other sensitive business information are not inadvertently or intentionally disclosed to unauthorized parties, which could harm the franchise system. Franchisees should establish clear protocols for handling and sharing Confidential Information to comply with this provision.
