What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Deka Lash Franchise Disclosure Document, the Area Development Agreement cannot be renewed or extended. The table in Item 17 indicates that under the provision "Renewal or extension of the term" the summary states "Not Applicable."

This means that a Deka Lash Area Development Agreement will end on the last day of the calendar month that the final Franchised Business is required to be opened and operating under the mandatory development schedule, as indicated in Section 6.1 of the Area Development Agreement. Unlike some franchise systems that allow franchisees to renew their agreements for additional terms, Deka Lash does not offer this option for its Area Development Agreements.

For a prospective area developer, this lack of renewal option means that they must be prepared to develop and operate all of their agreed-upon locations within the initial term of the agreement. If they wish to continue expanding with Deka Lash beyond that point, they would likely need to negotiate a new Area Development Agreement, which may be subject to different terms and conditions than the original agreement.
