The Franchise Agreement requires that you or, if you are a Corporate Entity, your managing shareholder or partner be personally responsible for the daily management and supervision of the Franchised Business (the "Managing Owner"). We must approve your Managing Owner. Your Managing Owner must have satisfactorily completed our initial training and must have obtained all required licenses and permits necessary to operate a Deer Solution Business within your Operating Territory.
You may hire a manager to assume responsibility for the daily management and supervision of the Franchised Business only if: (a) the manager meets all of our minimum standards and criteria for managers; (b) the manager completes our initial training program; (c) the manager signs a confidentiality agreement approved by us. All of your employees and other agents and representatives who may have access to our confidential information must sign a confidentiality agreement approved by us. We do not require that the manager own any equity interest in the franchise.

According to Deer Solution's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee can hire a manager to oversee the daily operations of the franchised business under specific conditions. Generally, the Franchise Agreement mandates that the franchisee, or a managing shareholder/partner for corporate entities (the "Managing Owner"), be personally responsible for the daily management and supervision. Deer Solution must approve this Managing Owner, who must complete initial training and obtain necessary licenses and permits.
The franchisee can hire a manager to take over these responsibilities only if the manager meets Deer Solution's minimum standards and criteria, completes the initial training program, and signs a confidentiality agreement approved by Deer Solution. This ensures that the manager is qualified and committed to protecting the brand's confidential information. All employees and agents with access to confidential information must also sign a confidentiality agreement.
In cases of death or permanent disability of an individual franchisee, or the Managing Owner of a corporate franchisee, a manager must be appointed within 30 days. This manager must then complete the Training Program within 60 days of appointment. If a Deer Solution Business is not managed by an approved manager after this period, Deer Solution has the option to appoint a manager at the franchisee's expense until a permanent replacement is found. Deer Solution can also charge a Management Service Fee for these services and may discontinue them at any time. This appointment does not relieve the franchisee of their obligations under the Franchise Agreement.
