What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Deer Solution's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is typically required to modify their Administrative Office after a transfer to ensure it is de-identified and differentiated from its former appearance as a Deer Solution Business. This includes removing distinctive features, signs, trade dress, and emblems associated with the Deer Solution system. These modifications are at the franchisee's sole cost and expense.
However, there is an exception to this requirement. If an authorized transferee continues to operate the former franchisee's Deer Solution Business at the same Administrative Office after the transfer, the modifications are not required. This exception acknowledges that if the business continues seamlessly under new ownership at the same location, the need to de-identify the office is unnecessary.
This condition is important for prospective Deer Solution franchisees to understand, as it can significantly impact the costs associated with transferring a franchise. If the transferee plans to operate from a different location, the original franchisee will bear the expense of modifying the Administrative Office to remove all traces of the Deer Solution brand. Conversely, if the business continues uninterrupted at the same location under the transferee, these costs can be avoided.
