E BUSINESS**
The Franchise Agreement requires that you or, if you are a Corporate Entity, your managing shareholder or partner be personally responsible for the daily management and supervision of the Franchised Business (the "Managing Owner"). We must approve your Managing Owner. Your Managing Owner must have satisfactorily completed our initial training and must have obtained all required licenses and permits necessary to operate a Deer Solution Business within your Operating Territory.
You may hire a manager to assume responsibility for the daily management and supervision of the Franchised Business only if: (a) the manager meets all of our minimum standards and criteria for managers; (b) the manager completes our initial training program; (c) the manager signs a confidentiality agreement approved by us. All of your employees and other agents and representatives who may have access to our confidential information must sign a confidentiality agreement approved by us. We do not require that the manager own any equity interest in the franchise.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Deer Solution's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Managing Owner has several obligations. The Managing Owner, whether it's the franchisee or a designated individual for a corporate entity, must be approved by Deer Solution. This individual is responsible for the daily management and supervision of the Deer Solution business. They must also complete the initial training program to Deer Solution's satisfaction and obtain all necessary licenses and permits required to operate the business within their designated territory.
Furthermore, the Managing Owner must maintain at least 25% equity and ownership interest in the Deer Solution franchise. This ensures a significant stake in the business's success and aligns their interests with the overall performance of the franchise. The Managing Owner is also expected to actively manage the operations of the franchised business at all times.
In the event of the Managing Owner's death or permanent disability (if the franchisee is a corporate entity), the remaining owners must appoint a new Managing Owner approved by Deer Solution within 30 days. This ensures continuity of operations and adherence to Deer Solution's standards. These requirements ensure that each Deer Solution franchise is competently managed and maintains the brand's standards.
