What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Deer Solution's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the appointed Managing Owner is required to attend and successfully complete the initial training program within 60 days of their appointment. If the franchisee is an individual and not a corporate entity, and upon their death or permanent disability, the appointed manager must serve and qualify as an Operating Manager and attend and successfully complete the Training Program within 60 days of the appointment.
This requirement ensures that the person managing the Deer Solution franchise has the knowledge and skills necessary to operate the business according to the franchisor's standards. For a prospective franchisee, this means that if they plan to manage the business themselves, they must attend the training. If they plan to have someone else manage the business, that person must attend the training. In the event of death or disability, the appointed manager or Operating Manager must also complete the training within the specified timeframe.
The 60-day window to complete the training program provides some flexibility, but it's crucial to ensure that the Managing Owner or Operating Manager is scheduled for training promptly after appointment. Failure to comply with this requirement could potentially lead to intervention by Deer Solution, who is authorized to appoint a manager at the franchisee's expense until an approved manager can take over.
This training requirement is a common practice in franchising, as it helps to maintain consistency and quality across all franchise locations. It is important for prospective Deer Solution franchisees to factor in the time commitment and potential costs associated with the initial training program when evaluating the franchise opportunity.
