- (7) Professional Referral Fee –Franchisee shall participate in the Professional Referral Program. As a part of the Professional Referral Program, professionals, which can be individuals, businesses, or organizations that provide landscaping, pest control, gardening, nursery, landscape architecture, tree care services, or related services or products (the "Professional"), may refer leads located in Franchisee's Operating Territory to Franchisee. Franchisee shall pay to Franchisor, Franchisor's affiliates, or Franchisor's designees a continuing monthly non-refundable fee equal to 10% of Gross Sales from the lead (the "Professional Referral Fee").

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Deer Solution's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Professional Referral Fee is non-refundable. Franchisees are required to participate in the Professional Referral Program, where professionals such as landscapers or pest control services may refer leads to the franchisee's operating territory. For these leads, Deer Solution franchisees must pay a continuing monthly non-refundable fee.
The Professional Referral Fee is equal to 10% of Gross Sales from the referred lead. This fee is paid to Deer Solution, its affiliates, or designees. The FDD also states that Deer Solution has the right to pre-deduct this fee from the franchisee's Gross Sales.
Given that the Professional Referral Fee is explicitly stated as non-refundable in the Franchise Disclosure Document, prospective Deer Solution franchisees should factor this ongoing cost into their financial projections. Franchisees will not be able to recover this fee under any circumstances.
