What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Deer Solution Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to purchase all System Supplies exclusively from suppliers approved and designated by Deer Solution. System Supplies include equipment, deer repellent, materials, uniforms, stationary, sales slips, receipts, customer notices, and other forms and materials. These supplies are designated by Deer Solution in the Operations Manual or in writing, and may be modified or supplemented by Deer Solution.

This requirement ensures uniformity and quality control across all Deer Solution franchises. By mandating the use of approved suppliers, Deer Solution aims to maintain consistent standards for the products and services offered under its brand. This can help protect the brand's reputation and ensure that customers receive a consistent experience regardless of the location they visit.

For a prospective franchisee, this means they will not have the flexibility to source supplies from vendors of their choosing. While this may limit their ability to negotiate prices or find potentially cheaper alternatives, it also reduces the burden of researching and vetting suppliers. Franchisees can rely on Deer Solution's approved suppliers to provide quality products that meet the brand's standards. Failure to comply with this requirement could result in a breach of the franchise agreement.

This type of restriction is common in franchising, where franchisors seek to maintain consistency and quality across their network. Franchisees should carefully consider the implications of this requirement and factor it into their financial projections. It is important to understand the pricing and availability of System Supplies from approved vendors to assess the potential impact on profitability.
