What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Deer Solution Franchise Disclosure Document, after the termination of the franchise agreement, franchisees are required to de-identify their Administrative Office. This involves modifying the office to ensure it no longer appears to be associated with Deer Solution, preventing public confusion. Franchisees must remove all distinctive physical and structural features, signs, trade dress, and emblems associated with the Deer Solution system, including those bearing the Licensed Marks. Additional changes may be required at the request of Deer Solution to fully de-identify the former business.

The de-identification process must begin immediately upon termination, and the franchisee must complete these actions within the timeframe designated by Deer Solution. The franchisor or its agents have the right to enter the premises to make these alterations at the franchisee's expense if the franchisee fails to do so.

Failure to promptly modify the Administrative Office can cause irreparable injury to Deer Solution, potentially leading to court intervention. The franchisee consents to the entry of an ex-parte order authorizing Deer Solution or its agents to make the necessary changes at the franchisee's expense. This highlights the importance of adhering to the franchisor's de-identification requirements to avoid legal complications and additional costs.
