What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Deer Solution Franchise Disclosure Document, Deer Solution is not contractually obligated to maintain, repair, update, or upgrade a franchisee's computer systems. The franchisee is required to operate and maintain a laptop computer and a tablet computer, and must use the Business Management System designated by Deer Solution. Deer Solution will have direct access to this system and all information entered.
The franchisee is obligated to install software upgrades and patches provided by the manufacturer of the computer and the Business Management System. The franchisee is responsible for hardware repairs or replacements of systems no longer under warranty. The estimated costs for maintenance, repair, and updates to the computer systems are $1,500 per year.
This means that as a Deer Solution franchisee, you will bear the responsibility and cost of keeping your computer systems operational and up-to-date. While Deer Solution mandates the use of a specific Business Management System and retains access to the data within it, they do not provide direct support or financial assistance for maintaining the hardware or software.
