What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Deer Solution's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a 'Competitive Business' is defined as any business that is the same as or similar to a Deer Solution Business. This includes businesses offering deer repellent services, deer damage control, and repair services.
During the term of the Franchise Agreement, the definition of 'Competitive Business' expands to include businesses that offer lawn care and/or landscaping services. This means that Deer Solution franchisees are restricted from owning or operating these types of businesses during their franchise term.
This definition is important for prospective franchisees to understand, as it outlines the scope of activities they are restricted from engaging in, both directly and indirectly, during the term of their agreement. It is a fairly broad definition that extends beyond direct competitors to include related services like lawn care and landscaping. Franchisees should carefully consider these restrictions and how they might impact other business interests or opportunities they may wish to pursue.
