What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchise Agreement mandates that the Managing Owner, whether it's the franchisee or a designated managing shareholder/partner, must be personally responsible for the daily management and supervision of the Deck Medic business. This Managing Owner must be approved by Deck Medic and dedicate their full-time efforts to the business, being on-site at the Franchised Business facility.
Specifically, the Managing Owner is required to satisfactorily complete Deck Medic's initial training program. Additionally, they must obtain all necessary licenses and permits to legally operate a Deck Medic Business within their designated Operating Territory. This ensures that the Managing Owner is well-prepared and compliant with all regulations.
Furthermore, if a franchisee's Managing Owner dies or becomes permanently disabled, a new Managing Owner must be appointed within 30 days and successfully complete the Deck Medic Training Program within 60 days of their appointment. This highlights the importance Deck Medic places on having a trained and approved individual managing each franchise location.
