What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees generally have the authority to set their own prices for approved services and products. However, there is an exception for national, regional, and corporate accounts, where Deck Medic may negotiate pricing. While Deck Medic can suggest pricing levels, the franchisee ultimately decides on pricing, except for those specific negotiated accounts.
This means that as a Deck Medic franchisee, you will have control over pricing in your local market, allowing you to adjust to local economic conditions and competitive pressures. However, you must adhere to pricing set by Deck Medic for larger accounts. This could limit your flexibility in some situations but also potentially provide access to larger clients that you might not otherwise secure.
It's important for prospective franchisees to understand the potential impact of these negotiated accounts on their revenue and profitability. Franchisees should inquire about the frequency and scope of these national, regional, or corporate accounts to assess how much of their business might be subject to franchisor-negotiated pricing. Understanding this balance between franchisee-controlled and franchisor-controlled pricing is crucial for evaluating the overall financial opportunity.
