What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may be required to participate in supplemental training under certain circumstances. This training may occur within the franchisee's operating territory or remotely via online conferencing, subject to Deck Medic's approval. Deck Medic reserves the right to approve or reject any request for supplemental training.
If Deck Medic agrees to provide supplemental training, the franchisee must pay a supplemental training fee. This fee is $600 per trainer per day. In addition to the training fee, the franchisee is responsible for reimbursing Deck Medic for travel and hotel accommodation expenses incurred by the trainer, if applicable.
Franchisees may be required to participate in supplemental training if they hire a new Operating Manager or if Deck Medic determines that the franchisee is not meeting operational standards. The supplemental training fees must be prepaid upon submission of an invoice from Deck Medic. This ensures that franchisees are up-to-date with Deck Medic's standards and practices, although it also represents an additional cost that franchisees need to budget for, especially if operational issues arise or when hiring new managers.
