What is the sole purpose for which the Deck Medic Advertising Cooperative fees can be used?

According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Advertising Cooperative is established for the exclusive purpose of administering marketing programs and the development of media for use by cooperative members in local or regional marketing. All marketing programs and media development are subject to Deck Medic's review and approval. The fees collected by the Advertising Cooperative are used solely for the purpose as set forth in Article 9.C.

Franchisees are required to participate in and contribute to the Advertising Cooperative if their Deck Medic Business or Operating Territory is located within the geographic area of a designated cooperative. The amount of contribution is determined by the Advertising Cooperative, but it cannot exceed the franchisee's local minimum marketing obligations as outlined in Article 9.B of the agreement. Contributions to the Advertising Cooperative count toward satisfying the franchisee's minimum local marketing obligations.

Franchisees must submit statements and reports to both the Advertising Cooperative and Deck Medic as required. Deck Medic retains the right to establish foundational and organizational requirements for the Advertising Cooperative, including voting provisions. Deck Medic businesses owned by Deck Medic or its affiliates within the Advertising Cooperative's geographic area are not required to contribute to the cooperative.
