What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if Deck Medic chooses to establish a council for the National Advertising Fund, the council's role is to provide guidance on the administration of the fund and marketing matters related to it. However, the council's function is purely advisory. Deck Medic retains the authority to select the council members, who may include Deck Medic employees, Deck Medic franchisees, and third parties.

This means that while franchisees may have some input into how the National Advertising Fund is managed and spent through representation on the council, Deck Medic ultimately makes the final decisions. The council's advice is not binding, and Deck Medic can choose to disregard it.

Prospective franchisees should consider this advisory role when evaluating the level of influence they might have over national advertising strategies. While the council offers a potential avenue for input, franchisees should not expect it to guarantee control over the fund's direction or expenditures.
