What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Deck Medic has the unilateral right to reject any and all advertising related to the franchised business, Deck Medic, the System, Deck Medic Businesses, and/or using the Licensed Marks. This means that Deck Medic has complete control over the advertising and promotional materials used by its franchisees.
This provision allows Deck Medic to ensure brand consistency and protect its trademarks. It also enables Deck Medic to maintain the quality and integrity of its advertising and marketing efforts. A prospective franchisee should understand that they cannot use any advertising materials without Deck Medic's approval.
This level of control is common in franchising, as franchisors need to maintain a consistent brand image. However, it's important for a franchisee to understand the scope of this control and how it might affect their ability to market their specific Deck Medic business. Franchisees should discuss with Deck Medic what recourse or appeal options are available if advertising is rejected.
