Is Deck Medic required to establish a System-Wide Training Program?

After the opening of your Deck Medic Business, we reserve the right to require that you (or your Managing Owner if you are a Corporate Entity) attend a system-wide training program (the "System-Wide Training Program") that we may establish in our discretion. If we establish a System-Wide Training Program, the program will be offered from our affiliate owned Deck Medic Business in Frankfort, Illinois and you will be responsible for all travel and expenses, lodging, food, automobile rental expenses and employee wages that you incur in connection with your attendance. We will not require your attendance at a System-Wide Training Program for more than a total of five days in any calendar year.

According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Deck Medic is not required to establish a System-Wide Training Program. Deck Medic reserves the right to require franchisees (or their Managing Owner if the franchisee is a Corporate Entity) to attend a System-Wide Training Program that Deck Medic may establish at its discretion.
If Deck Medic establishes a System-Wide Training Program, it will be offered from their affiliate-owned Deck Medic Business in Frankfort, Illinois. Franchisees are responsible for all travel and expenses, lodging, food, automobile rental expenses, and employee wages incurred in connection with their attendance.
Deck Medic will not require attendance at a System-Wide Training Program for more than a total of five days in any calendar year. This discretionary aspect of the System-Wide Training Program means that franchisees may or may not need to budget for these additional training costs, depending on Deck Medic's decisions.
