What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Deck Medic will provide a list of approved signage and equipment, to the extent that they have designated them, either as part of the Manuals or otherwise in writing. Deck Medic will also review and approve, in their discretion, a franchisee's proposed signage and equipment. However, Deck Medic does not provide assistance in delivering or installing signs and equipment.

This means that while Deck Medic offers guidance on what signage and equipment are acceptable for the franchise, the franchisee is ultimately responsible for the selection, purchase, and installation of these items. The franchisee needs to ensure that their choices align with Deck Medic's standards and receive approval before implementation.

This approach is fairly typical in franchising, where franchisors set brand standards but franchisees handle the practical execution. Franchisees should carefully review the provided list and understand the approval process to avoid investing in unapproved items. They should also factor in the costs of signage and equipment, as well as installation, into their initial investment budget.
