What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to pay a National Advertising Fund Fee as designated by Deck Medic in the franchise agreement, manuals, or other communications.
The National Advertising Fund Fee is paid to Deck Medic, its affiliates, or designees, as outlined in Article 9.A of the agreement. Deck Medic may use these funds for various costs, including salaries, administrative expenses, advertising, marketing, product testing, website upgrades, and other marketing activities. Deck Medic is not obligated to ensure that advertising expenditures are proportionate to contributions from Deck Medic businesses in any specific geographic area.
Franchisees must participate in all advertising, marketing, promotions, research, and public relations programs instituted by the National Advertising Fund. However, Deck Medic businesses owned by Deck Medic or its affiliates are not required to pay this fee or contribute to the National Advertising Fund. Franchisees are also required to participate in local or regional advertising cooperatives if their Deck Medic business is located within the designated area of such a cooperative and make ongoing financial contributions as determined by the cooperative.
