What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a local or regional advertising cooperative is established in your market, you are required to contribute to it. The amount and frequency of contributions are determined by the cooperative members. However, Deck Medic states that you will not be required to contribute more than 5% of your monthly Gross Sales to a Local or Regional Advertising Cooperative.

As of the issuance date of the 2024 FDD, Deck Medic has not established any local or regional advertising cooperatives but reserves the right to do so in the future. If Deck Medic elects to form a local or regional cooperative, or if one already exists in your area, you will be required to participate according to the operations manual, which may be updated.

It's important to note that while Deck Medic sets a maximum contribution limit for local advertising cooperatives, franchisees are also required to spend 5% of their annual Gross Sales on local marketing efforts, beginning in the second year of operation. This local marketing is separate from any potential contributions to a cooperative and must adhere to Deck Medic's standards and specifications.
