What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, all marketing materials must adhere to the franchisor's standards and specifications and receive approval before use. This includes any materials bearing the Licensed Marks, such as stationary, business cards, brochures, apparel, signs, and displays, which must be purchased directly from Deck Medic or its designated suppliers. Franchisees are permitted to market their Deck Medic business through approved digital media and social media platforms, provided they comply with the franchisor's digital media and social media policies.

This requirement ensures brand consistency and quality control across all Deck Medic franchises. By mandating approval, Deck Medic aims to maintain a uniform brand image and prevent franchisees from using materials that could potentially harm the brand's reputation. This also allows Deck Medic to monitor the marketing strategies employed by its franchisees and ensure they align with the overall marketing goals of the company.

For a prospective Deck Medic franchisee, this means that you will need to submit all marketing materials to Deck Medic for review and approval before they can be used. This includes both physical materials and digital content. Additionally, franchisees must purchase branded marketing materials from Deck Medic or its designated exclusive supplier. Deck Medic may also require franchisees to exclusively use their designated supplier for social and digital media marketing services and platforms, potentially incurring additional costs.

While this requirement may seem restrictive, it is a common practice in franchising to maintain brand consistency and protect the brand's image. Franchisees should factor in the time and potential costs associated with obtaining marketing approval and purchasing materials from approved suppliers when evaluating the Deck Medic franchise opportunity.
