What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee's business is not being managed by an approved manager, Deck Medic is authorized to appoint a manager to maintain operations on behalf of the franchisee, at the franchisee's sole cost. This situation typically arises if the franchisee, or in the case of a corporate entity, the managing owner, dies or becomes permanently disabled and a replacement is not approved within 30 days.

Deck Medic has the right to charge a reasonable fee, referred to as "Management Service Fees," for these management services. Deck Medic also retains the right to discontinue providing these management services at any time.

It's important to note that even when Deck Medic appoints a manager, the franchisee remains responsible for all obligations under the franchise agreement. Deck Medic will not be liable for any debts, losses, costs, or expenses incurred during the operations of the franchisee's Deck Medic business, even while under the management of Deck Medic's appointed manager.
