What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee wants to use marketing materials or mediums not already approved, they must submit a written request. Deck Medic is then obligated to either approve or disapprove this request within 15 days of receiving the written request and sample marketing materials.
This requirement ensures that Deck Medic franchisees adhere to the brand's standards while also allowing them some flexibility in their marketing approaches. However, Deck Medic is not obligated to conduct any advertising or spend any amount on advertising on the franchisee's behalf within their operating territory.
This policy is fairly standard in franchising, where franchisors typically maintain control over brand marketing to ensure consistency and protect brand reputation. Franchisees should be aware of this approval process and factor it into their marketing timelines. They should also proactively seek pre-approved marketing templates from Deck Medic to streamline their marketing efforts.
