- Initial Training for Replacement Operating Managers Your Operating Manager must complete, to our satisfaction, our initial training program. We will offer and make available to your replacement Operating Manager our initial training program which must be completed to our satisfaction. The initial training program will be provided by us at the facilities that we designate that, presently, is comprised of our affiliate owned Deck Medic Business located in Frankfort, Illinois, at the certified training Deck Medic Business that we may designate in the future, at your location or other location designated by us. You will be required to pay our then current supplemental training fee for replacement Operating Manager, which is currently $600 per manager per day for each replacement manager attending our initial training. - Administration of Marketing Funds We may administer and manage System-wide marketing funds comprised of a National Advertising Fund and/or Advertising Cooperative. (Franchise Agreement, Article 9);

- Hiring and Training of Employees We do not provide assistance with the hiring and training of your employees. You will be directly responsible for the management and supervision of your employees. For the protection of the System, you must ensure that all employees wear and maintain the proper uniforms with our approved System branded apparel and uniforms including, but not limited to, the apparel and uniforms comprising System Supplies.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee hires a replacement operating manager, that manager must complete the initial training program to the franchisor's satisfaction. Deck Medic offers this training program at a designated facility, which is currently the affiliate-owned Deck Medic Business in Frankfort, Illinois, or at a certified training Deck Medic Business, the franchisee's location, or another location that Deck Medic designates.
The franchisee is responsible for paying a supplemental training fee for the replacement operating manager. This fee is currently $600 per manager per day for each replacement manager attending the initial training. This cost is in addition to any travel expenses the franchisee may incur.
Deck Medic also states that not less than 30 days prior to opening their Deck Medic Business, the franchisee or their Managing Owner and one management level employee or Owner must attend and complete the initial training program. If this is the franchisee's first Deck Medic Business, Deck Medic will provide initial training for the franchisee or, if the franchisee is a Corporate Entity, their Managing Owner, plus two designated managers. Either the franchisee or their Managing Owner, plus their general manager, must successfully complete the initial training program to Deck Medic's satisfaction no later than 30 days prior to the scheduled opening of the Deck Medic Business.
