The insurance coverage must be at least as comprehensive as the minimum requirements set forth in the chart within the Franchise Agreement.
Deck Medic requires franchisees to maintain various insurance policies, including coverage against physical loss or damage to property, comprehensive general liability insurance with a $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate limit, statutory workers' compensation insurance with a $100,000 limit, employer's liability insurance with limits up to $1,000,000, business automobile insurance with a $1,000,000 per occurrence limit, business interruption insurance, commercial umbrella liability insurance with a $2,500,000 limit, and employment practices liability insurance with a $1,000,000 limit.
All insurance policies must be written by a responsible carrier acceptable to Deck Medic, and all policies (excluding workers' compensation) must name Deck Medic and its affiliates as additional insureds. The insurance carrier must provide Deck Medic with at least 30 days' prior written notice of any material alteration or cancellation of the insurance policy. Franchisees should consult with their insurance representative to determine the necessary coverage levels for their Deck Medic business, as higher exposures may require higher limits.
