What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not authorized to engage in any marketing unless it is pre-approved by Deck Medic. This requirement ensures that all marketing efforts align with the brand's standards and specifications.
If a Deck Medic franchisee wishes to use marketing materials or mediums not already approved, they must submit a written request for permission. Deck Medic will then approve or disapprove the request within 15 days of submission. This process allows franchisees to suggest new marketing ideas while maintaining brand control.
Deck Medic also requires franchisees to engage in local marketing, committing a specific minimum amount of funds to these efforts. In the first year, Deck Medic will assist in developing a marketing plan. Starting in the second year, franchisees must spend 5% of their annual Gross Sales from the preceding year on local marketing, adhering to Deck Medic's standards. These local marketing programs are subject to review and approval by Deck Medic.
