What This Means (2024 FDD)

Based on the 2024 Deck Medic Franchise Disclosure Document, the specifics of any additional required training for franchise renewal are not explicitly detailed in the provided excerpts. While the document mentions 'Supplemental Training,' it does not specify who determines the specifics of such training in the context of franchise renewal.

However, the FDD does define 'Supplemental Training' by referencing Article 4.A of the agreement. It also states that all determinations as to the system, including components to the system and modifications and replacements thereto, shall be determined by Deck Medic in Deck Medic's Reasonable Business Judgment.

To fully understand the conditions for renewal and any additional training requirements, a prospective Deck Medic franchisee should ask the franchisor for details on how 'Supplemental Training' is defined and applied during the renewal process. Specifically, they should inquire about what criteria are used to determine the need for additional training, who decides on the content and format of the training, and what costs, if any, are associated with it.
