What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Deck Medic Advertising Cooperative must be organized exclusively for administering marketing programs and developing media for use by its members in local or regional marketing efforts. All marketing programs and media development are subject to Deck Medic's review and approval.
If a franchisee's Deck Medic business or operating territory falls within the geographic area of an Advertising Cooperative, the franchisee is required to participate in and contribute to the cooperative. The franchisor has the sole right to designate any geographic area with two or more Deck Medic franchises as a region for establishing an Advertising Cooperative.
Franchisees must make ongoing financial contributions to the Advertising Cooperative as determined by the cooperative itself. However, these contributions cannot exceed the franchisee's local minimum marketing obligations as outlined in the franchise agreement. Contributions to the Advertising Cooperative count toward fulfilling these minimum local marketing obligations. All marketing materials, plans, and media used by the cooperative or its members require prior written approval from Deck Medic.
