What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Deck Medic franchisees are required to use SingleOps as their designated point of sale and business management system. Franchisees must also utilize QuickBooks. A key provision is that Deck Medic retains direct access to all information entered into or maintained within this point of sale and business management system.
This direct access has several implications for franchisees. Deck Medic can monitor sales data, customer information, inventory levels, and other operational metrics in real-time. This allows Deck Medic to ensure compliance with system standards, identify trends, and potentially offer support or guidance to franchisees. However, it also means that franchisees must be diligent in ensuring the accuracy and security of the data they enter into the system.
For a prospective franchisee, this requirement underscores the importance of understanding the technology systems mandated by Deck Medic and the level of access the franchisor maintains. While such access can facilitate support and oversight, it also places a responsibility on the franchisee to maintain data integrity and security. Franchisees should inquire about data privacy policies and security measures to protect sensitive information.
