Who determines if an 'Annual System Conference' will occur for Deck Medic franchisees?

"Annual System Conference" refers to and means a conference that may be established and organized by Franchisor for the purpose of facilitating networking among Deck Medic Business franchisees, and general education. Franchisor shall designate and determine whether or not an Annual System Conference shall occur and, if one is established in any particular year, the dates, content and location of the Annual System Conference. The Annual System Conference shall be for a duration of not more than three consecutive days per calendar year. Franchisee is responsible for all costs and expenses associated with Franchisee's travel to and attendance at the Annual System Conference.
- "Approved Services and Products" shall have the meaning defined in the "Recitals" section of this Agreement and shall further refer to and mean refers to and means those products and services that Franchisor authorizes for sale by Deck Medic Businesses.

According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor determines whether or not an Annual System Conference will occur. If the conference is established in a particular year, Deck Medic also decides the dates, content, and location of the event.
The Annual System Conference, as defined in the FDD, is a conference that Deck Medic may organize to facilitate networking and general education among its franchisees. The conference will not exceed three consecutive days per calendar year.
As a Deck Medic franchisee, you are responsible for all costs and expenses associated with your travel to and attendance at the Annual System Conference. Additionally, the franchisee must pay an annual conference attendance fee to Deck Medic, the amount of which is determined by Deck Medic, but will not exceed $1,000 annually.
