What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Deck Medic maintains significant control over a franchisee's use of websites and digital media. All digital media and marketing used by franchisees must be approved by Deck Medic. Franchisees are also required to assign all website media and digital media accounts to Deck Medic.
Deck Medic will designate information about the franchisee's Deck Medic business on the www.mydeckmedic.com webpage or other websites designated by Deck Medic for the system. Franchisees are required to use only those advertising and marketing materials and mediums that Deck Medic designates and approves in writing.
These stipulations mean that a Deck Medic franchisee has limited autonomy in their online marketing efforts and must adhere strictly to the franchisor's guidelines and approvals. This level of control is common in franchising to maintain brand consistency and manage online reputation. However, it also means that franchisees must rely on Deck Medic for effective digital strategies and may not be able to implement their own ideas without prior consent. Franchisees need to factor in the time it may take to get approval for marketing materials.
