What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the approval of a transfer by Deck Medic does not mean that future transfers are also approved. Each transfer requires separate approval from Deck Medic. This ensures that each potential new franchisee meets Deck Medic's standards at the time of the transfer.
This requirement means that if a franchisee wants to sell or transfer their Deck Medic franchise in the future, they will need to go through the approval process again, regardless of whether a previous transfer was approved. Deck Medic maintains the right to evaluate each transfer independently.
This policy protects Deck Medic by ensuring that all franchisees meet their current standards for business experience, financial resources, and moral character. It also allows Deck Medic to maintain control over who operates franchises under their brand name. Franchisees and transferees must acknowledge that Deck Medic's approval of a transfer does not waive the requirement for approval of future transfers.
