Will Deck Medic always be the only potential lender under the direct financing agreement?

According to Deck Medic's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Deck Medic may offer direct financing to franchisees, but they are not obligated to do so. Currently, Deck Medic is the only potential lender under the direct financing agreement. However, Deck Medic retains the right to designate additional affiliates as potential lenders in the future.

Deck Medic may also provide indirect financing through third parties and receive referral fees from these providers. The terms of financing with third parties will vary, and Deck Medic does not guarantee any franchisee's note, lease, or obligation with these third parties. If a franchisee requests indirect financing, Deck Medic may receive a referral fee from the third-party financing provider.

If Deck Medic offers direct financing for the initial franchise fee, the franchisee (and their spouse, if applicable) must sign a promissory note for the amount financed, including any financing charges. The franchisee must return a signed copy of the note to Deck Medic, who has the right to assign the note to a third party. If the note is for a new Deck Medic business, the franchisee must open the business within six months of receiving the funding.
