Is there a time limit for Coffee News to accept a site location?
Coffee_News Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
When you request the areas where you wish to publish, we will determine the number of franchises that the area would represent based on the guidelines in Item 11.2 and Item 12. There is no time limit for an acceptance since all site locations are resolved before you sign an agreement with us.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Coffee News's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there is no time limit for site location acceptance. Coffee News resolves all site locations before a franchise agreement is signed. This means that the territory where the franchisee will operate is agreed upon before any commitment is made by either party.
This pre-agreement on territory is beneficial for prospective Coffee News franchisees. It provides clarity and certainty regarding the area they will be responsible for, allowing them to conduct thorough market research and assess the potential for their Coffee News business before signing the franchise agreement and paying any initial fees. This contrasts with some franchise systems where franchisees may sign an agreement and then have a limited time to find a suitable location, creating pressure and potential for rushed decisions.
Coffee News also researches the territory that the prospective franchisee wishes to service to determine if it overlaps with existing franchisees. They usually approve an area if it does not overlap with another existing publisher. They also research population and commerce figures to determine the number of people and restaurants within the proposed territory. The population/restaurant guideline is based on discussions with existing franchisees in the U.S. and Canada and considers information from their 5 company-owned franchises. This ensures that the territory is viable and meets the brand's standards for potential success.
